01What does a bookkeeper actually do for my business?
We record every transaction, reconcile your bank and card accounts, manage bills and invoices, and deliver monthly financial statements, so you always know where you stand and your accountant gets clean books at year end.
02How much does outsourced bookkeeping cost?
It depends on transaction volume and complexity. Most small businesses fit our Starter or Growth plans; see the pricing section for starting prices in your currency. We confirm a fixed monthly fee after the intro call, with no surprises.
03Which software do you work with?
QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, MYOB, Sage, FreeAgent, Odoo and our own 4Alpha ERP. If you're not on any system yet, we'll recommend and set up the right one for your region.
04My books are behind. Do I need to clean them up first?
No. Catch-up and clean-up work is something we do every week. We'll scope it on the intro call and bring your books current before regular monthly service starts.
05Will I work with the same bookkeeper every month?
Yes. You get one dedicated bookkeeper who learns your business, backed by a reviewer who checks every month-end close.
06How much of my time will this take?
Usually 15–30 minutes a month: answering a few transaction questions and reviewing your reports. Everything else runs through read-only bank feeds and a shared document inbox.
07Do you file my taxes?
We prepare tax-ready books and the working papers for sales tax, VAT, GST or BAS. Filing is done by you, your CPA or registered agent, or a licensed partner we can introduce, depending on local rules.
08Is my financial data secure?
We work inside your cloud accounting software with individual, role-based logins and two-factor authentication. We never ask for your online-banking passwords, and access is removed the day an engagement ends.
09What does onboarding look like?
An intro call, a short questionnaire, software access, and a review of your last few months. Your first monthly close is usually delivered within 30 days of signing.
10Can I add services later?
Of course. Payroll coordination, management reporting, ERP set-up and marketing can all be added as you grow, under one team and one invoice.
FAQ
Pricing, ERP and marketing

01Do you only work with businesses in these four regions?
Those are the regions where we keep local tax expertise in-house: the US and Canada, the GCC, the UK and Ireland, and Australia and New Zealand. If you trade elsewhere, ask us.
02Are you an accounting or CPA firm?
We are a bookkeeping and business-systems firm. We keep your books and prepare tax working papers; statutory audits, tax returns and formal tax advice are handled by your accountant, CPA or registered agent, or a licensed partner we can introduce.
03How do your prices work?
A fixed monthly fee based on transaction volume and complexity, quoted in your currency after the intro call. Catch-up and clean-up work is quoted separately as a one-off.
04Can you implement an ERP without taking on bookkeeping?
Yes. ERP implementation, migration and hosting can be bought on their own. Most clients add bookkeeping later so their books live in the same system.
05Who owns the data in the ERP you host?
You do. You can export all of it at any time, including when you leave.
06How do you report on marketing?
Every month we show spend, leads, customers won and the revenue those customers produced, taken from your invoices rather than from ad-platform estimates.
